2Another Defective Dream Lite Pillow PetOct 22, 2012
By Sheryl Chism
Very disappointed in the quality of the Dream Lite Pillow Pets, especially with the price that is being charged for them. This is the second pillow pet (from a second seller) that I have purchased for my grandson that has had a defective mechanism whereby only two of the lights light up and have had to be returned! Two other Dream Lite Pillow Pets that I purchased for other granchildren had mechanisms that froze and flickered rapidly and would not shut off - the only way to stop the flickering was to remove the batteries and then put them back. Dream Lite Pillow Pets are cute and the concept for the product is great, but the company making the product desperately needs to improve their quality control. I am not at all looking forward to having to return another faulty product, but at least Amazon does have very good customer service and a fairly easy return process.

5PerfectOct 14, 2012

My 5 year old son wanted this after watching some commercial, so on his birthday we for it for him. I was actually surprised at how relaxing it is. It projects the moon and stars along with the face of the animal onto the ceiling in several different colors. It also has a timer so it shuts off after 15 or 20 mins. Sometimes we turn it on and take turn telling stories at nighttime. I highly recommend this. For the price I think it's worth it.

1Arrived DefectiveOct 01, 2013
By K. Movalson
We are 0-2 on Dream Lites... have ordered two and both have arrived defective, which has been a HUGE disappointment to my children who each bought them with their own money. Really disappointed in the quality and it is such a shame that they advertise the heck out of these things only to disappoint kids.

2Wonderful for the first day, then won't even turn onSep 26, 2012
By Amazon Customer
I purchased my penguin at Wal-mart for my son's 4th birthday. He had been begging for one for months. I gave in when I saw they had started carrying them in the store. He was so excited and had a wonderful time with it the first day/night. The next morning the dream lites would not even turn on. I thought that maybe it had been on all night and needed batteries. Batteries replaced and it still didn't turn on. I took it back to Wal-mart that day and they exchanged it with no hassels for a 2nd penguin dream lites. He was excited it was working again and played with it all day until bedtime. AGAIN, the next morning it would not turn on. I replaced the batteries and it still wouldn't turn on. There is something incredibly defective in this product. 2 penguins and the exact same problem both times. I expect more from a $30 toy!!!!

1Buyer BewareMar 08, 2013
By Cassandra
My son and I were going through Wal-Mart a few days ago where he was eyeing up a few toys. He went over to the Pillow Pet Light up penguin and started messing with it. I thought that since it's a Pillow Pet I shouldn't have to hover over him, so I drifted 10ft away to look at some nail polish that was on clearance.

Every parent knows the screaming/crying sound that children make when they're scared and in pain. Well, that is exactly what I heard, so I rushed over and noticed his finger was stuck in the head cut-out part of the penguin. I pushed the face part of the penguin cut-out down and achieved enough space to let his finger out that way. Unfortunately his thumb was cut on each end of the finger nails perpendicular to his cuticle. (Picture in customer submitted photos.)

I'm writing this review to let parents know that little fingers can get hurt, and as I'm sure we all know as parents, little fingers DO tend to wander.
